Clue Raider is a daily deduction puzzle set in an ancient temple. A 7 by 7 map is split into named rooms and dotted with objects, and each of six people gives a clue about where they stand. Place everyone so all the clues hold, and the solution points to the day's lost relic.

About Clue Raider

Clue Raider is a logic puzzle with a tomb-raiding theme. Each day's map is a 7 by 7 grid with lettered columns and numbered rows, divided into rooms such as the Antechamber, the Shrine Room or the Hidden Vault, and filled with objects: pillars, fountains, chests, benches and statues.

You also get a list of people, each with a short statement: one is in the Antechamber, one is in row 1 and column c, one stands next to exactly two objects, one is the only person beside a fountain. Placing people narrows the options for the rest, and the clues together leave only one arrangement. Submit it to reveal the day's relic, which has its own name and date, like the Temple Lockbox.

A timer runs while you work, and you can undo or clear placements. The site also has bonus puzzles beside the daily one. It suits players of Murdle or Clues by Sam who like a deduction that plays out on a map rather than a table.

How to play Clue Raider

  1. Read each person's clue under the map.
  2. Place a person on a cell where their clue holds; rooms, rows, columns and nearby objects all count.
  3. Use each placement to rule out cells for the others, and undo when a clue breaks.
  4. Submit when everyone is placed to reveal the day's relic and your time.

Tips

  • Start with the most exact clue, such as a given row and column, then work outward.
  • Clues about being the only person somewhere also rule cells out for everyone else.
