Every day: A free Daily Puzzle every day with a calendar of past days, a streak and a Wordle-style solve grid to share. New puzzle: Once a day.

Chess Peace is a calm logic puzzle app for iPhone, iPad and Mac. You are given a handful of chess pieces and a small board, and must place them all so that no piece attacks another. A new Daily Puzzle arrives every day, with a streak and a share grid, beside more than 26,500 other puzzles.
About Chess Peace
Chess Peace is made by Sam Shepherd and came to the App Store in April 2026. It needs no chess skill: the pieces only bring their moves, and the app teaches how each one moves before you start.
In the classic puzzle you get one of each piece, such as a king, queen, rook, bishop, knight and pawn, and a small, oddly shaped board of four by four up to six by six squares. Place them all so that no piece can capture another. Each puzzle has one solution, and an optional overlay shows the squares every piece covers. Other modes add copies of the same piece, two colours that only threaten each other, two boards joined by a knight's jump, and boards with some squares already revealed.
The Daily Puzzle sits at the top of the home screen. A calendar keeps past dailies, a streak counts the days in a row, and when you finish you can share a Wordle-style grid with your time, moves and hints. The app is free with no ads, works offline and stores everything on the device or in iCloud.
It suits players of Queens and star battle grids who like a no-attack placement puzzle, and anyone who wants a short, quiet puzzle a day.
How to play Chess Peace

- Look at the pieces you must place and the shape of the board.
- Drag each piece onto a square; the overlay can show which squares it attacks.

- Share your solve grid and keep your daily streak going.

Tips
- Place the queen first: it covers the most squares and has the fewest safe spots.
- Knights fit in the gaps other pieces leave, so place them last.
- Turn on the possible-moves overlay to see the safe squares at a glance.
