About Animaldle

Animaldle takes the guess-the-thing format of the -dle games to the animal kingdom. Its main daily is Classic Match: one hidden species, the same for everyone that day, and ten hearts for guesses. Each animal you enter reveals which of its traits match the hidden one, from its class and order to its diet, biome and physical traits, so each guess narrows the field.

Around it sit seven more modes, each with a daily round and a random one for extra play. High/Low compares weight, lifespan or speed. Habitat asks you to click every continent where an animal lives. Photo shows a pixelated wildlife picture to identify. Venn sorts species into taxonomic sets, Connections groups animals by a hidden shared trait, Snap is thirty seconds of yes or no, and Reverse shows the animal and asks for its traits.

The site is styled like a field guide and keeps your stats in the browser. It suits players who know their wildlife and like the deduction of narrowing down a species from its classification.

How to play Animaldle

1. Open Classic Match (Daily) and type the name of any animal.
2. Read the clues: each trait of your guess is marked as matching the hidden animal or not.
3. Use the matching taxonomy, diet, biome and size to pick a closer animal.
4. Name the hidden animal before your ten hearts run out, then try the other daily modes.

Tips

• Start with a broad guess such as a common mammal to learn the hidden animal's class quickly.
• Once the class matches, work down the tree: order and family cut the options far more than size does.
• Play the random rounds of each mode for practice; they do not use up the daily.
