About WordRings

WordRings is a small HTML5 word game by TossenGames, played in the browser on its itch.io page. The board is a set of coloured rings around a star, each ring carrying a loop of letters. A highlighted slot runs from the centre to the right edge, and whatever letters sit in that slot are read from the innermost ring outward.

You drag a ring left or right to spin it. When the letters in the slot spell a real word, the game picks it up by itself: there is no submit button, and the letters glow green as the word lands. Each level asks for a set number of words, shown as dots under the word bar, and moving up a level brings more rings, starting from three and going up to four, so the words get longer.

The main menu has a free Play mode with random rings and a Daily Challenge. The daily one seeds its rings from the date, so everyone who plays that day starts from the same board and can compare how far they got. A good score can be sent to a global leaderboard with a name, and a share button sends your result as text or an image.

Scoring rewards finding words back to back: a streak multiplier grows while you avoid hints, and using a hint breaks it. Hints are limited, with more earned by levelling up and by finding three words in a row without help. It suits players who like letter-wheel and word-finding games and want a short, relaxed round in the browser with no sign-up.

How to play WordRings

1. Open WordRings on its itch.io page, press Run game, then choose Daily Challenge from the menu.
2. Drag any ring left or right to turn it and move its letters past the reading slot on the right.
3. Line up letters so that a word reads from the inner ring outward through the slot.
4. Hold still when the letters glow green: the game takes the word by itself, with no submit button.
5. Find the number of words the level asks for to move up, where the game adds another ring.
6. When your run ends, send a new best score to the global leaderboard with your name if you like.
