Word Flower (Hindustan Times)
Seven letters in a flower: make words of four to seven letters, always using the one in the centre.
Every day: A new numbered flower of seven letters each morning, the same for every player, with a fixed list of words to find; earlier flowers stay in an archive. New puzzle: About 5am India time (IST).

Word Flower is a daily word-finding puzzle on the Hindustan Times games page. Seven letters sit in a flower, and you make as many words as you can that use the centre letter, without using any letter twice.
About Word Flower (Hindustan Times)
Word Flower is one of the daily games on the Hindustan Times HT Games page, alongside Mini Crossword, Word Row and Superbrain Teasers. Each puzzle is numbered (Word Flower 786 went up on 2 October 2026), and a new one is posted at about 5am India time every day of the week.
The puzzle runs in the PuzzleMe player from Amuse Labs. The board is a flower of seven petals: one letter in the middle and six around it. A counter on the word list shows how many words the setter has in mind, for example 0 of 48.
To play, you build words of four, five, six or seven letters. Every word must include the centre letter, and you cannot use a letter more than once in the same word. Each correct word adds to your score; a timer runs, and there are buttons to shuffle the petals, take a hint or reveal answers.
It is close in spirit to the Spelling Bee family of games, but the no-repeat rule changes the search: you are hunting for anagrams and sub-anagrams of the seven letters rather than any word built from them. Older flowers stay listed on the page if you want more than one a day.
How to play Word Flower (Hindustan Times)
- Open the Word Flower page and pick today's flower (or an earlier one).
- Press Start to begin the timer.
- Click the petals or type to spell a word of four to seven letters that includes the centre letter.
- Press enter to submit; correct words go into the list on the right.
- Keep going until you have found every word, or use the hint or reveal buttons.
Tips
- Look for the seven-letter word early; it uses every petal and opens up shorter words inside it.
- Shuffle the petals when you run dry; a new layout often shows words you missed.
- Add common endings such as -ED, -ER or -S only when those letters are in the flower, since no letter can be used twice.
