Every day: One new letter flower a day, the same for every player: a centre letter and four or six petals, with a set count of words to find and a title tied to that date. New puzzle: Midnight India Standard Time (18:30 UTC).

Word Flower is a daily word puzzle from The Hindu: a flower of letters with one in the middle, and a fixed number of words to make from them. Each day's flower has a title linked to that date, and the last two weeks of puzzles stay open. Playing needs a login to a The Hindu account.
About Word Flower (The Hindu)
Word Flower is one of the word games on The Hindu's games site, next to Word Search and Word Row, its crosswords, sudoku and quizzes. Each day brings a new flower: one letter in the centre and a ring of petals around it, usually six, sometimes four. The puzzle tells you how many words are hidden in it, and the job is to find them all.
The flowers are set by Shravan of X Quiz It, and each one carries a title for the day: an anniversary, a birthday or an awareness day, such as Global Handwashing Day or the release of Pulp Fiction. On Fridays the title is simply No Clues Friday. The size of the list moves a lot from day to day: recent flowers have asked for anywhere from 2 to 47 words.
The game runs on Amuse Labs' PuzzleMe platform, the same Word Flower format used by several newspapers. In that format every word must use the centre letter, the petal letters can be used again, and a word that uses every letter in the flower is a pangram worth extra points.
A new flower goes up at midnight India time. A calendar on the page opens the earlier puzzles, about two weeks of them. The page asks you to log in to a The Hindu account before it shows the flower,, and the site keeps a My Stats page for signed-in players.
It suits readers of The Hindu who want a short word game alongside the crossword, and anyone who already plays Spelling Bee style puzzles and likes a dated theme with each one.

Tips
