Whistlo question 1 of 5, Who's the player in basketball: a clue about a 1990 quadruple-double and a 1994 MVP season, four answer choices and a Lock In Answer button

Whistlo is a daily sports trivia quiz. Each numbered challenge has five questions from sports such as basketball, American football and soccer, each with four choices and no changing your answer once it is locked in. Correct answers score 1,000 points, your time is tracked, and finishing each day builds a streak.

About Whistlo

Whistlo posts one challenge a day, numbered as Daily Whistlo, and everyone gets the same five questions. They are spread across sports; the site names American football, basketball, soccer, cricket, tennis and F1 among them. A full run takes two or three minutes.

Each question shows its type and sport at the top, for example a Who's the player question in basketball that describes a career in the first person. You pick one of four answers and lock it in, and it cannot be changed after that. A correct answer is worth 1,000 points and your time is recorded as well. A Stuck button sits in the corner of the question screen.

Finishing the day's challenge starts or extends your streak, and you can share your score. The home page shows the challenge number and a countdown to the next one.

Beyond the daily game, you can create a private match with a room code so friends answer the same questions with live scoring, and practise by sport between challenges. Players can also submit sports facts, which the team reviews before they can become future questions. A paid Pro plan adds unlimited practice, past daily challenges, detailed statistics, private matches and sport and difficulty selection. The site says it is an independent game, not tied to any league or team.

Tips

  • Read every clue in a Who's the player question before answering; the later facts often narrow it to one name.
  • Since answers lock, rule out the choices that clash with any clue before you commit.
  • Use practice by sport between daily challenges to brush up on the sports you know least.
