Wardle is a daily guessing game for War Thunder players. Each day there is a hidden ground vehicle, aircraft and ship; you guess any vehicle and see how its country, battle rating, speed, crew, type and weapons compare with the answer. Endless and custom modes, profiles, streaks and leaderboards sit alongside the dailies.
About Wardle
Wardle takes the classic dle format to War Thunder's vehicle trees. It started with a daily ground vehicle in August 2024, added aircraft in October 2024 and ships in March 2026, and is available in around thirty languages.
A round starts with any vehicle you type. Wardle lays out a row of clues comparing it with the secret one: country, maximum speed, mass or displacement, crew count, tech tree (regular, premium or event), battle rating, vehicle type, gun caliber, number of engines and weapon types. Colours show matches and arrows show whether a number should go up or down. After a few tries you can open picture and weapon hints, such as a front, side or back view of a tank or the main gun of a ship. Settings let you switch battle ratings between arcade, realistic and simulator, and speeds between km/h and mph.
The daily vehicles change at the UTC reset and count toward a streak. Endless mode serves random vehicles for practice, a custom mode lets you pick a secret vehicle for a friend, and an account adds a public profile with wins, average guesses and one-shots plus a place on the leaderboards. It suits War Thunder players who know battle ratings and nation lineups by heart.
How to play Wardle
- Choose a daily mode: Ground, Airplanes or Naval.
- Type any vehicle from that category to make your first guess.
- Read the clue row: green for a match, arrows for higher or lower numbers.
- Narrow down by country and vehicle type first, then battle rating and speed.
- Open the picture and weapon hints when they unlock if you are stuck.
- Find the vehicle, share your result and come back after the UTC reset.
Tips
- Set the battle rating mode in settings to the one you play, so the numbers match what you know.
- Country and vehicle type cut the field the most, so a common nation's common type is a good opening guess.
- The tech tree clue tells you early whether the answer is a premium or event vehicle.
- Practise a weak category in Endless mode, which does not touch your daily streak.
