Up & Down Words is a daily word puzzle created by David L. Hoyt in 2006 and syndicated by Andrews McMeel Universal. Crossword-style clues lead to a chain of two-word phrases in which the second word of each phrase is the first word of the next. It is played on GoComics Puzzles with a subscription and embedded by newspapers such as Stuff in New Zealand.
