The Solitaire Conspiracy is a spy-thriller card game from Bithell Games built on a Streets and Alleys style of solitaire, where each suit is a spy crew with its own power. Its Daily Hotspot mode gives everyone the same locked layout each day and ranks players by fewest turns.

About The Solitaire Conspiracy

The Solitaire Conspiracy was released on Steam in October 2020 for Windows and Mac by Bithell Games, the studio behind Thomas Was Alone and John Wick Hex. The story is told in full-motion video: the spy agency Protego has been destroyed, and analyst Jim Ratio (played by Greg Miller) guides you as you take control of its scattered spy crews.

The card game is inspired by a solitaire variant called Streets and Alleys, with tweaks. Each suit is a crew of spies, and playing certain cards triggers the crew's power, such as moving or rearranging other cards. Learning how the crews' powers combine is the heart of the game.

After the campaign there are several modes: Campaign Plus with limited turns and locked tables, a Countdown endurance mode, a free Skirmish mode, and the Daily Hotspot. The Daily Hotspot is a bite-sized challenge each day on a locked skirmish-style layout, with a leaderboard where players worldwide compete for the lowest number of turns.

Free updates later added more crews. It suits solitaire players looking for something more tactical, and anyone who enjoys a short daily card puzzle with a score to beat.

How to play The Solitaire Conspiracy

  2. Open the Daily Hotspot for today's locked layout.
  3. Move cards to build up the foundations, using each crew's power when you play its key cards.
  4. Clear the layout in as few turns as you can and compare on the leaderboard.
