Cover Story (סיפור כיסוי) is a daily shape-and-colour puzzle from Haaretz. You drag shapes onto the board to cover all the circles, so that each shape covers circles of different colours. The difficulty changes from day to day, and Haaretz subscribers get two boards a day.

About Cover Story (Haaretz)

סיפור כיסוי, Cover Story, is the visual logic game on the Haaretz games page, a challenge of shapes, colours and thinking in the paper's words. Each day brings a new board, the same for every player, and its difficulty varies from day to day.

The board is dotted with coloured circles, and you have a set of shapes to place. The goal is to cover every circle, with the rule that each shape must cover circles of different colours. Fitting the shapes so the rule holds everywhere is the puzzle.

Haaretz subscribers get two games a day. The page also runs a Hebrew Wordle, a Connections-style game, The Chain and the logic riddle Hegyonit.

It suits players who like visual packing puzzles and need no Hebrew to enjoy them.

How to play Cover Story (Haaretz)

  1. Look at the coloured circles on the board.
  2. Drag a shape onto the board.
  3. Make sure each shape covers circles of different colours.
  4. Cover every circle to solve the board.

Tips

  • Place the largest shapes first; they have the fewest options.
  • Check colour clashes before committing a shape.
  • Watch for circles only one shape can reach.
