Rerun
A Wordle of the Y2K era: guess the day's culture word, with its category as a clue.
Every day: One numbered culture word a day, the same for every player, drawn from the current season's era (Y2K in season one): six tries to guess it, with the day's category as an extra clue. New puzzle: Midnight Pacific Time, stated on the page.

Rerun is a daily word game where every answer comes from one period of pop culture. Its first season is Y2K: each day you get the category, such as fashion, and six tries to find a word from the turn of the millennium, with Wordle-style letter colours.
About Rerun
Rerun calls itself the daily culture puzzle, and each season is set in one era. Season one is Y2K, the years around 2000, so the day's word might be a gadget, a fashion item, a TV show or a bit of slang from that time. The game tells you the category before you start, which gives you a second clue alongside the letters.
You have six guesses. As in Wordle, each letter comes back marked as right letter in the right spot, right letter in the wrong spot, or not in the word. Most answers are five letters long, but on twist days the word is four or six letters, and the game warns you when the day breaks the five-letter routine.
Puzzles are numbered and change at midnight Pacific Time. Your streak and guess distribution are kept on your device, without an account. The look borrows from late-1990s screens and tapes, in keeping with the theme.
It suits anyone who grew up around 2000 or likes nostalgia trivia, and it is a gentler start than a plain word game because the category narrows the field.

Tips
