Pokédle.gg is one of several fan-made Pokédle sites; the address pokedle.fun leads here. Each day there is one secret Pokémon for everyone. You begin by entering any Pokémon you like, and the game compares it with the answer trait by trait, including generation and type.

The colours follow a simple code. Green is an exact match. Yellow is used for types: the answer has that type, but in its other slot (your first type is its second, or the other way round). Red means no match. For numbers, an up or down arrow tells you whether the answer's value is higher or lower than your guess.

Besides the Classic daily there is an Unlimited mode with no daily limit. The site states that Nintendo, Game Freak and The Pokémon Company do not endorse or sponsor it.

How to play Pokédle (pokedle.gg)

1. Open pokedle.gg and choose Classic Daily.
2. Enter any Pokémon as your first guess.
3. Read the tiles: green is an exact match, yellow a type in the other slot, red no match, and arrows point higher or lower.
4. Pick a Pokémon that fits everything you have learned and guess again.
5. Find the secret Pokémon, then try Unlimited for more rounds.

Tips

• Open with a dual-type Pokémon to test two types at once.
• Settle the generation early; it cuts the field more than anything else.
• Use the yellow type clue: it tells you the answer has that type in the other slot.
