Pairdle is a daily word puzzle from Logic Loft Games that works in two-letter chunks. The hidden word is six letters, split into a first, middle and last pair, and you choose pairs from a board of 24 tiles to fill those slots. Each guess tells you which pairs are right, until you crack the day's word.
About Pairdle
Pairdle started as Pairagrams, a final project for Harvard's CS50 course, and launched publicly in January 2026 as the first game from Logic Loft Games, the small studio founded by Tim Nye. It plays in the browser and in the studio's apps.
Each day's puzzle is a six-letter word, shown as three hidden pairs. Below it sit three slots marked First, Mid and Last, and a board of 24 two-letter tiles such as SW, EN, KI and LA. You place tiles into the slots and press Guess. Correct pairs lock into place and the rest of the board narrows your options, so the puzzle becomes a matter of working out which pairs can sit side by side to make a real word. A hint button and a shuffle button help when you are stuck.
The puzzles are numbered: 3 October 2026 was Pairdle #337. The home screen shows your streak, a countdown to the next puzzle, today's leaderboard, badges and an archive of every past day. Results share as a spoiler-free grid, and a harder Pairdle Pro mode uses longer words. Signing in keeps your streak across devices.
It suits Wordle players who want a different kind of deduction: you think about how words break into chunks rather than which single letters they contain.

Tips
- Start from the ending: common endings such as ER, ED, LE and NG narrow the Last slot quickly.
- Say candidate words out loud in pairs; it is easier to hear a word that way than to see it in tiles.
- Once one pair is locked, look for tiles that can follow or precede it to form a real syllable.
- Shuffle the board when you stop seeing new combinations.
