Noun Sense
Guess the most common noun that follows each adjective.
Every day: Ten adjectives a day, the same for everyone: for each, guess the noun that most commonly follows it, scored by how common your answer is, with a daily leaderboard. New puzzle: Midnight UTC.

Noun Sense is a daily word-association game. Each day brings ten adjectives, and for each one you guess the noun people most often put after it; the more common your pairing, the more you score. Scores go on a global leaderboard and one for friends.
About Noun Sense
Noun Sense is a daily word-association game on Gametje's daily site. Every day it hands everyone the same ten adjectives, and for each one you type the noun you think people most often put after it: "heavy" might suggest "rain", "bright" might suggest "light".
Each answer gets a points score based on how common that adjective and noun pairing really is. A natural pairing scores high, a strange but possible one scores low, and nonsense scores zero. If an answer gets nothing you can try again, up to three times. When the round is over you can tap any adjective to see the top three nouns for it, and the total for your ten answers goes on a daily leaderboard.
What makes it different from most word games is that there is no single right answer and no spelling puzzle: it rewards an ear for ordinary English rather than a big vocabulary. Comparing your instinct with the most common answers is a large part of the fun, and creating an account (with Discord, Google or email) lets you add friends and compare scores and resume a game on another device.
It suits players who like quick, light games, word association party games and Family Feud-style guessing of popular answers. A full round of ten adjectives takes a few minutes, and Gametje says it is working on a multiplayer version.
How to play Noun Sense
- Open daily.gametje.com and press Play Today's Game.
- Read the adjective and type the noun you think most often follows it.
- See the score for your pairing; if it scores 0, retry up to three times.
- Work through all ten adjectives to get your total.
- After the round, tap each adjective to reveal the top three nouns and check the leaderboard.
Tips
- Go for the plainest, most everyday pairing rather than a clever one; common phrases score highest.
- Say the adjective out loud in a sentence; the noun that comes naturally is often the top answer.
- Save your retries for zero scores by thinking twice before typing an unusual noun.
