Memory (El Mundo)
Turn over cards and find every matching pair in as few tries as you can.
Every day: A new board of face-down picture cards every day, the same for every player, to clear in pairs in as few tries as possible; earlier days are in an archive. New puzzle: Midnight on your own device's clock (the game opens the board for your local date).

Memory is the classic pairs game on El Mundo's free games pages, with a new board every day. You turn cards over two at a time, keep the pairs you match, and try to clear the board in as few attempts as possible.
About Memory (El Mundo)
Memory is El Mundo's version of the old card game of pairs, also known as Concentration. Each day brings a new board of face-down cards, the same for every player, and the aim is to find all the matching pairs in as few attempts as you can.
You click a card to turn it over and see its picture, then pick a second card. If the two match, the pair stays face up. If not, both turn back over and you carry on, remembering where each picture was. The game ends when every pair has been found, and your number of attempts is your score.
It runs in the browser with an advert before the board, a free El Mundo registration saves your progress, and earlier boards are in an archive. It needs no Spanish, so anyone can play it, and it suits players who want a short memory test alongside the paper's crossword, sudokus and word games.
How to play Memory (El Mundo)
- Open Memory on El Mundo's games page.
- Click a card to turn it over, then click a second card.
- If the pictures match, the pair stays face up; if not, both turn back.
- Remember where each picture was and keep matching.
- Clear the board in as few attempts as possible.
Tips
- Work systematically, row by row, so you know which cards you have already seen.
- When a new card reveals a picture you have seen before, go straight for its pair.
- Do not guess wildly early on: every miss costs an attempt.
