The LoLdoku daily League of Legends grid: an empty 3x3 board with clue icons above and to the left, including Released in 2012 and Magic adaptive damage, and a rarity score of 900 with 3 of 3 lives

LoLdoku is a daily League of Legends grid. Three row clues and three column clues, such as a region, a class or a release year, meet in nine squares, and you fill each with a champion that fits both, with three lives. Five other daily champion modes, from attribute guessing to silhouettes and a Connections board, sit beside it.

About LoLdoku

LoLdoku is an unofficial fan game for League of Legends players, built in the style of the daily trivia grids. Its main puzzle is a 3x3 board: each row and each column carries a clue, such as a champion's region, class, damage type or release year, and you fill every square with a champion who matches both the row and the column. You have three lives for wrong answers, and the board shows a rarity score and points as you go, rewarding less obvious picks.

Alongside the grid there are five more daily modes. Classic is attribute guessing: name champions and see green, gold or red for region, position, class and other traits, with Easy, Medium and Hard each having their own daily champion. Silhouette shows a zoomed-in blacked-out outline that widens with each wrong guess. Abilities starts with one ability icon and adds more after wrong guesses. Attributes and Connections, which sorts sixteen champions into four groups of four with four mistakes, round out the set.

All daily puzzles change at midnight UTC and are the same for everyone, and every mode also has an unlimited version for practice. Progress saves in the browser; an optional sign-in exists but is not needed to play. It suits League players who already know the roster and want a quick daily test of it.

How to play LoLdoku

  1. Read the three clues along the top and the three down the side of the grid.
  2. Click a square and type a champion who fits both its row clue and its column clue.
  3. Avoid wrong answers: you have three lives for the whole grid.
  4. Fill all nine squares, picking less common champions for a better rarity score.
  5. Try the day's Classic, Silhouette, Abilities, Attributes and Connections puzzles from the menu.

Tips

  • Fill the squares with the narrowest pair of clues first, while you still have most champions to choose from.
  • Keep your three lives for the squares where you are unsure, and check a champion's region or class in your head before submitting.
  • For rarity points, think past the most played champions that fit a clue.
  • Use the unlimited grid to learn which regions and classes overlap before the daily board.
