Geo Connections is a daily Connections-style puzzle about geography from the Teuteuf family of games. Sixteen squares of flags, country outlines, landmarks and names hide four groups of four, and you have four mistakes to find them.

About Geo Connections

Geo Connections is a geography version of the Connections grouping puzzle, part of Teuteuf's games alongside Worldle, Flagle and Travle. Each day there is one numbered board of sixteen squares. Some are country names, others are flags, country outlines or photographs, and four of them always belong together.

The game explains the two most common kinds of group: four squares that are all the same country seen four ways (its flag, its shape, a landmark, a fact), or four different countries that share something, such as bordering the same neighbour, hosting the same event, being governed together or having a name of a given length. Nothing ever fits two groups.

You select four squares and submit. A right group locks in; a wrong one costs one of your four mistakes. If you are stuck, Easy mode labels every flag, outline and picture, and Infinity mode lets you keep guessing, but each can only be switched on for that day's game. A Teuteuf account keeps your stats, and the premium plan removes ads and opens the archive of past boards. Players can also build their own boards from flags, outlines, text and photos.

It suits anyone who plays Worldle or Flagle and wants a longer puzzle that mixes the two.

How to play Geo Connections

  1. Open Geo Connections and look over the sixteen squares: flags, outlines, photos and names.
  2. Pick four squares you think share a connection and submit.
  3. Use what is left to find the next group; you have four mistakes in all.
  4. Switch on Easy mode to see the names of flags and outlines, or Infinity mode to keep guessing, if you need to.
  5. Solve all four groups and share your result.

Tips

  • Look first for one country shown several ways: its flag, outline and a landmark often form a group.
  • Groups of different countries usually share a fact such as a border, an organisation or the length of the name.
  • Easy mode cannot be switched off for the day, so try without it first.
