Flora Quiz Daily Bloom question 1 of 5: a photo of red poppies with the answers Sunflower, Rose, Common poppy and Daisy

Flora Quiz is a daily flower identification game for iPhone, iPad and Android. Each day's Daily Bloom is the same for every player worldwide: five real flower photos, each with four names to choose from, scored for accuracy, speed and combos. You keep a streak and can share a spoiler-free emoji result.

About Flora Quiz: Daily Flower Game

The Daily Bloom screen shows the day number and how many flowers there are to identify, and a progress bar tracks you through the set. Each question shows a photo and asks which flower it is, with four answers such as sunflower, rose, common poppy and daisy. Points come from getting it right, answering quickly and stringing correct answers together. The photos are real pictures from Wikimedia Commons under free licences, credited in the app.

Beyond the daily there is free play from Easy to Expert. Hard uses lookalike answers, crops the photo into the bloom and gives less time; Expert drops multiple choice so you type the common or Latin name. Mystery Image turns it round, giving one name and four photos, and Spell the Name has you rebuild a name letter by letter. Hints cost coins earned in the game. Flower cards give the family, facts and tips for recognising each plant, themed paths group flowers by colour, season and region, and spaced review brings back the ones you miss. Each flower you identify joins your herbarium of more than 150 species.

Flora Quiz is made by Christophe Colineaux and came to the App Store in August 2026. It is free, with no ads and no in-app purchases, plays offline, and is available in English, French, Spanish, German, Italian and Portuguese. Daily objectives and an optional reminder help keep the streak going.

Tips

  • Look at the leaves and stems as well as the petals; lookalike flowers often differ there.
  • Read the flower card after each answer to learn how to recognise it next time.
  • Play Mystery Image in free play: matching a name to four photos trains the same skill from the other side.
  • Do the three daily objectives for coins, which pay for hints when a flower stumps you.
