Daily Word Guess Challenge, also called Guess the Word, is an Android word game in the Wordle mould. Each day everyone gets the same hidden word to find in six guesses from green, yellow and grey letter clues, and a Daily Challenge of ten more words keeps its own streak. Classic, Speed and Duo modes are there when the daily words are done.
About Daily Word Guess Challenge (Guess the Word)
Daily Word Guess Challenge is a free Android game published on Google Play by the developer Mushy P, who lists it in the store as Guess the Word. It follows the rules most players already know from Wordle: type a word, and each letter turns green when it is in the right place, yellow when it is in the word but somewhere else, and grey when it is not in the word at all. You have six tries.
The daily part comes in two pieces. Today's Word is one puzzle shared by everyone on the day, with a countdown to the next word on the home screen and an emoji grid to share when you finish. The Daily Challenge is a set of ten words for each date, laid out on a calendar that goes back 30 days, so a missed day can still be played, and it shows how your result compares with other players.
Outside the daily puzzles the app has a Classic mode with unlimited words, themed lists such as animals, food, tech and nature, and a choice of four, five or six letters. Speed mode gives you 60 seconds per word against a leaderboard, and Duo lets two people take turns on the same word on one phone. There is a hard mode that makes you reuse letters you have confirmed, a colour-blind palette, statistics with a guess distribution, a streak widget, and play without a connection.
The game is free with ads and in-app purchases; streak recovery and some extras are listed as premium. It suits players who like Wordle and want more than one word a day without leaving the same app.
How to play Daily Word Guess Challenge (Guess the Word)
- Open the app and tap Today's Word on the home screen.
- Type any five-letter word with the on-screen keyboard and press enter to submit it.
- Read the colours: green means the right letter in the right spot, yellow means the letter is elsewhere in the word, grey means it is not in the word.
- Use the clues to make your next guess, and find the word within six tries.
- Share your emoji grid, then open Daily Challenge for the day's ten extra words or Classic for unlimited play.
