Daily Mini Str8ts
Three snack-sized Str8ts a day, from easy to hard.
Every day: Three numbered 6x6 Str8ts grids a day, one at each of three difficulty levels, the same for every visitor and dated (#6344 on 4 October 2026). New puzzle: Once a day; each set is numbered and dated.

Daily Mini Str8ts is the small version of the Str8ts number puzzle: three 6x6 grids a day at three difficulty levels, the same for everyone. Fill the white cells so every compartment forms a run of consecutive numbers. It is free to play in the browser or to print.
About Daily Mini Str8ts
Daily Mini Str8ts is a page on str8ts.com, the home of the Str8ts number puzzle, with grids by Andrew Stuart. Because the minis are smaller than the classic 9x9 Daily Str8ts, the site offers three of them each day, one at each difficulty level, under a single number and date such as #6344 for 4 October 2026.
The rules are those of Str8ts on a 6x6 board. You fill the white cells so that no number repeats in a row or column. Runs of white cells between black cells, called compartments, must each hold a straight: a set of consecutive numbers in any order. A number printed in a black cell is ruled out for the rest of its row and column but is not part of any straight.
You can solve directly on the page, with a timer and a star difficulty rating for each grid, or print the puzzles. The page links to the rules, a video explanation and the step-by-step Str8ts solver for when you are stuck.
It suits sudoku players who want a short daily number puzzle, and newcomers who want to learn Str8ts before taking on the full-size daily grid.
How to play Daily Mini Str8ts
- Open the day's page and pick one of the three grids, easiest first.
- Type a number into each white cell; no number may repeat in a row or column.
- Make every compartment of white cells a straight of consecutive numbers, in any order.
- Use the numbers in black cells to rule out options in their row and column.
- Finish all three grids, or print them to solve on paper.
Tips
- Start with short compartments: a two-cell run next to a fixed number often has only one or two options.
- On a 6x6 grid, a compartment of five or six cells must contain 3 and 4, which narrows the rest quickly.
- Treat a black cell's number as already used in its row and column.
- Play the easy mini first each day to warm up for the hard one.
