Cubewords is a crossword on the six faces of a cube. Answers run across the edges from one face to the next, so you turn the cube as you solve. There are three new cubes each day; the easy 3x3x3 cube is free in the browser and on Android, and a Cubewords Plus subscription opens the medium and hard cubes, a monthly mega cube and past days.
About Cubewords
Cubewords takes a clued crossword and folds it around a cube. You drag to turn the cube, tap a square and type, and the clue for the selected answer sits under the cube with the letters you have so far. Words cross the edges and carry on along the next face, so a letter you fill on one side helps with a clue on the other, and turning the cube is part of the solve.
There are three new crossword cubes every day. The easy one is a 3x3x3 cube and is free. The medium and hard cubes are 4x4x4 with longer answers, and on the first Sunday of each month the hard puzzle becomes an 8x8x8 mega cube. A timer runs while you solve, and you can share a link to the cube you finished and compare results with friends on a board.
Beside the crosswords there is Wordwind, a daily word find in which you connect letters on a small cube, with at least one word that travels around all six faces. The game also has several looks for the cube, from paper to neon and glass, with an animation that takes the cube apart when you finish. Cubewords Plus, a monthly or yearly subscription, opens the larger cubes, the archive of past days and more looks.
How to play Cubewords

- Drag to turn the cube and tap a square to select an answer; its clue appears below the cube.
- Type the answer; words can run across an edge onto the next face.
- Use the letters you have filled in to help with the clues on the other faces.
- Fill every square to finish the cube, then share your result or try Wordwind.

- Step through the clues with the arrows below the cube and fill the short, easy ones first.
- Corner squares belong to answers on more than one face, so they are good letters to confirm early.
