Crowdle's daily prompt, A word related to museum, asked of 10,000 people, with four empty answer tiles numbered 1 to 4

Crowdle is a free daily word game from PZL games. Each day it shows a prompt that about 10,000 players have answered, such as a word related to museum, and you try to name the four most common answers. Guesses are unlimited, and near misses show where they ranked.

About Crowdle

Crowdle, also at crowdle.gg, is one of the daily games from PZL games, the puzzle site of Perfect Level Games Ltd. Its idea is close to the TV game Family Feud: the answers are not right or wrong in themselves, only more or less popular.

Each day there is one prompt, put to roughly 10,000 PZL players. Your job is to find the top four answers, shown as four empty tiles numbered 1 to 4. You can guess as many times as you like, but guesses must be real words. A guess that matches one of the top four fills its tile; answers ranked 5 to 10 show beneath the grid as close answers, so you can see you are on the right track. Some answers are grouped together as aliases, so a plural or near-synonym can still count.

You have three hints, each showing another letter of the next answer you still need. At the end you can share how you did with friends who played the same prompt.

It suits players who like word association and guessing how other people think rather than testing facts.

How to play Crowdle

  1. Open Crowdle and read today's prompt.
  2. Type a word you think many people would answer and submit it.
  3. A top-four answer fills its numbered tile; answers ranked 5 to 10 appear below as close answers.
  4. Keep guessing as often as you like, and use up to three hints for a letter of the next answer.
  5. Find all four top answers and share your result.

Tips

  • Start with the most obvious answer: the number 1 spot usually goes to it.
  • Read the close answers: they show which direction the crowd went.
  • Keep hints for the last answer, which is often the least obvious.
