Cluno is a daily word riddle. You see one clue, often written in the first person like a riddle, and guess the word; each wrong guess reveals another, plainer clue, up to four. Solving on the first clue earns four stars, and each extra clue costs one.
About Cluno
Cluno is a small daily word puzzle that runs in the browser. Every day there is one answer, an everyday thing such as a piano, a ladder or an anchor, and four clues that lead to it. Everyone gets the same word on the same date.
The first clue is the vaguest, and some read like riddles: I am struck but never harmed. Each wrong guess uncovers the next clue, and they grow more literal as they go, until the fourth is close to a dictionary definition, such as I have black and white keys. Your score is the number of stars you keep: four if you get it from the first clue, down to one if you need all four.
The result can be shared as the number of hints used and the stars earned, without the answer. If you sign in, the game also keeps a weekly leaderboard and tracks stats such as your average score, best solves and how often you got it from a single clue.
It takes a minute or two and suits anyone who likes riddles and quick guessing games more than letter puzzles.
