Branch (Daily Loop)
Rotate pipe tiles on an 8x8 grid until every branch connects to the source, one shared puzzle a day.
Every day: One numbered 8x8 pipe puzzle a day, generated from the UTC date so everyone gets the same grid: rotate tiles until every pipe connects back to the starred source. New puzzle: Midnight UTC.

Branch is the harder of the two daily puzzles on Daily Loop. Each day it deals an 8x8 grid of scrambled pipe pieces, the same for everyone, and you rotate tiles until the whole network links back to a starred source with no loose ends. A timer and move counter track your solve, and results can be shared.
About Branch (Daily Loop)
Branch is a take on the classic netwalk or pipes puzzle. The grid holds straight pieces, corners, T-junctions, crosses and dead ends, all turned the wrong way. Clicking a tile rotates it, and the goal is a single connected tree of pipes running out from the source tile, marked with a star, where no pipe end points at nothing.
The puzzle is generated in the browser from the UTC date, so every player sees the same grid on a given day, and it is numbered by days since the game began in September 2025. A timer and a move counter run while you play, a check button tells you whether the current network is fully connected, and a statistics panel keeps your streak, win rate, average moves and average time. There are also achievements to unlock across the site.
Branch sits next to Loop on the Daily Loop site: Loop is a quick 6x6 puzzle about forming one closed loop, while Branch is the slower 8x8 network that the site rates as hard and estimates at two to five minutes.
It suits people who enjoy spatial logic puzzles and want something that takes a few minutes rather than a long session.
How to play Branch (Daily Loop)
- Open Branch and find the source tile marked with a star.
- Click any tile to rotate it a quarter turn.
- Turn tiles so every pipe end meets another pipe end, building one network that reaches back to the source.
- Make sure no pipe points off the edge or into an empty side.
- Use the check button to confirm, then share your time and move count.
Tips
- Start at the edges and corners: pipes there can only face inward.
- Fix dead ends and crosses early, they have the fewest valid rotations.
- Avoid closing a loop, the network has to branch like a tree.
- Fewer rotations means a better move count, so think before clicking.
Questions
Is the puzzle the same for everyone?
Yes. The grid is generated from the UTC date and the game says there is one puzzle per day, shared globally.
When does a new puzzle appear?
At midnight UTC, since the seed is the UTC date.
Do I need an account?
No. Stats are kept in your browser.
Is there an easier version?
Yes. Loop, on the same site, is a smaller 6x6 puzzle about forming a single loop.
