About WORDAS

WORDAS (wordas.lt) brings the Wordle format to Lithuanian. The heart of it is the word of the day, Dienos žodis, which every player gets and which changes at 00:00. Depending on the day it is five or six letters long, and you have six tries to find it.

Each guess must be a real Lithuanian word, typed on a keyboard that includes the Lithuanian letters. Tiles show which letters are in the right place, which are in the word elsewhere, and which are missing.

Around the daily word the site adds an Endless mode, a Hard mode, a Challenge mode and themed games, and it rewards play with XP, a shop and a leaderboard. It runs in the browser and is also offered for Windows.

It suits Lithuanian speakers and learners who want their daily word game in their own language.

How to play WORDAS

1. Open the Dienos žodis, the word of the day.
2. Type a Lithuanian word of the right length.
3. Read the colours: right place, wrong place or not in the word.
4. Use the clues to choose your next word.
5. Find the word within six tries.

Tips

• Start with a word using common Lithuanian letters such as A, I, S, E and R.
• Remember the special letters such as Ė, Š and Ž are separate letters.
• Check the length first: the daily word can be five or six letters.
