Word Web Day #44: three five-letter word nodes, libel, foxes and cares, on an empty web, with a box to type a 5-letter word and perfect 6, par 9, words 0

Word Web is a free daily word ladder from RMLP with a twist: instead of linking two words, you link three. Add five-letter words that each differ by one letter from a word already in your web until all three starting words are connected, using as few extra words as you can.

About Word Web

Word Web is a browser word puzzle published under the RMLP puzzle name. Each day the game draws three five-letter starting words, worked out from your local date so everyone who plays that day gets the same set.

You type five-letter words to add to your web. A word can join only if it differs by a single letter from a word already there, and the game draws the growing web as a graph of bubbles you can drag around. The puzzle is solved when the three starting words are all linked through the web.

The score is the number of words you added, and the page shows a par for the day. No list of valid next words is shown, so you have to think of them yourself. A Reveal answer button shows the best solution, but it marks the day as revealed and there is no retry until the next puzzle.

It turns the classic word ladder into a small network problem: the best answers usually share a middle word that serves two branches. It suits fans of word ladders and anyone who enjoys finding efficient routes.
