About Szózat Extra

Szózat Extra brings the Wordle formula to Hungarian. Every day there is one hidden word of 4 to 7 letters, the same for all players, and the aim is to find it in six tries or fewer.

You type real Hungarian words, using a keyboard with the letters of the Hungarian alphabet. After each guess the tiles change colour: one colour for a letter in the right place, another for a letter that is in the word but somewhere else, and grey for a letter that is not there at all. Each guess narrows down the answer.

Szózat Extra offers the daily word in lengths from four to seven letters, and adds a weekly championship, statistics and rooms where you can play with friends.

It suits Hungarian speakers and learners who want their daily word puzzle in their own language.

How to play Szózat Extra

1. Type any 4 to 7-letter Hungarian word.
2. Read the colours: right place, wrong place, or not in the word.
3. Use the clues to choose your next word.
4. Find the word within six tries.

Tips

• Open with a word rich in common Hungarian letters and vowels.
• Letters with accents or diacritics count as separate letters.
• Use your second guess on fresh letters to learn more.
