The Turin daily La Stampa posts a new sudoku page every day under the title Lo schema del followed by the date. Each page holds a playable grid at three levels, Facile, Medio and Difficile, chosen by that date, with a timer, notes and a candidates helper. Earlier days stay in the Giochi section as their own pages.
About Sudoku (La Stampa)
La Stampa's Giochi section publishes one article a day called Sudoku, Lo schema del (the grid of) followed by the date: 2 October, 1 October, 30 September and so on, each posted early in the morning. Inside is an embedded sudoku player that loads the boards for that page's date, so every reader opening the same day's page gets the same grids.
The player offers three levels, Facile, Medio and Difficile, and shows the date and level above the board (for example SUDOKU DEL 02 OTTOBRE 2026, LIVELLO FACILE). A timer runs while you play. Normale mode enters numbers, Annotazioni lets you pencil in notes, Mostra i candidati shows the possible numbers for a cell, and Mostra la soluzione reveals the answer.
Because each day is its own article, the section works as an archive: scroll back through the list to play any earlier date. The instructions and buttons are in Italian, but the puzzle itself needs no language.
It suits sudoku players who want a daily set with a choice of difficulty, and Italian readers who already follow La Stampa.
How to play Sudoku (La Stampa)
- Open the Sudoku section of La Stampa and pick today's Lo schema del page.
- Choose Facile, Medio or Difficile above the grid.
- Select a cell and type a number; each row, column and 3x3 box needs 1 to 9 once.
- Switch to Annotazioni to pencil in notes, or use Mostra i candidati for help.
- Complete the grid; earlier dates stay available as their own pages.
Tips
- Start with Facile to warm up, then move to Medio and Difficile.
- Look for rows or boxes with only one or two gaps first.
- Use Annotazioni rather than candidates if you want to solve without help.
