Sudoku (BrainBashers)
Six dated 9x9 sudokus a day, from Very Easy up to Super Hard.
Every day: Six new classic 9x9 sudokus every day, from Very Easy to Super Hard, the same for every visitor and dated, with the last few weeks kept in a date list. New puzzle: Midnight GMT (the site lets you set your own time zone).

BrainBashers posts six classic sudokus each day, one at each level from Very Easy to Super Hard. You fill the 9x9 grid so every row, column and 3x3 block holds 1 to 9, in the browser with pencil marks, checking and a detailed answer if you want one.
About Sudoku (BrainBashers)
BrainBashers is Kevin Stone's long-running puzzle site, and its Daily Sudoku page is one of its oldest regulars. Every day it offers six fresh 9x9 puzzles labelled Very Easy, Easy, Medium, Hard, Very Hard and Super Hard. The rules are the classic ones: every row, every column and every 3x3 block must end up holding the digits 1 to 9 once each, and the site stresses that logic, not arithmetic, is all you need.
Each puzzle opens on its own page, headed with the date and level and marked as Kevin Stone's copyright. Under the grid are buttons to check your work, switch to pencil marks, undo, show the answer or a detailed answer that walks through the solve, print, and restart. Options let you highlight duplicates, show mistakes when checking and keep a clock on screen. A date list on the main page reaches back a few weeks, so a missed day can still be played, and a help page explains the solving techniques the harder grids call for.
All of the site's daily items change at midnight GMT, with a setting to use your own time zone. There is also a small assistant that will start from digits you type in, which is handy for a puzzle from a newspaper. The site carries no adverts and asks for support through Patreon or a one-off donation instead.
It suits sudoku players who want a ladder of difficulty every day, from a warm-up to a grid that needs advanced techniques.
How to play Sudoku (BrainBashers)
- Open the Daily Sudoku page and pick today's puzzle at the level you want.
- Click a square and type a digit from 1 to 9; switch on pencil to note candidates instead.
- Fill the grid so each row, column and 3x3 block holds 1 to 9 once each.
- Press check to test your entries, or show mistakes if you want them marked.
- Use answer or detailed answer when you are done or stuck, and come back after midnight GMT for six new grids.
Tips
- Start with the Very Easy or Easy grid to warm up, then move up one level at a time.
- Scan each 3x3 block for digits that have only one possible square before filling in pencil marks.
- On the Very Hard and Super Hard grids, keep full pencil marks and look for pairs that rule out candidates elsewhere.
- The detailed answer shows the steps, which is a good way to learn a technique you missed.
