Sportsdle gathers daily athlete guessing games for seven sports on one site. In each one you name the day's mystery player, driver or fighter, and every guess tells you how close you are on team, position, age and more. New puzzles go live at midnight Eastern Time.
About Sportsdle
Sportsdle is a hub of daily sports guessing games in the style of Wordle. Each sport has its own Classic game: the NHL, the NFL, the NBA, Major League Baseball, Premier League soccer, the UFC and Formula 1. Every day each one picks a mystery athlete, and every player gets the same one.
A round works the same way across sports. You type a name, and the game compares your pick with the answer on attributes such as team, conference, division, position, height, age, jersey number and birth country, with arrows for the numbers. In the NBA game you have ten attempts, a draft clue opens after five guesses and the photo after eight. Role players come up as often as stars, so it rewards people who know whole rosters.
Around the Classic games there are more dailies: Immaculate Grid style grids for the NHL, NFL and Formula 1, and CaddieDLE, a daily golf hole where you pick club, swing and line in four attempts. There are also season builders such as 82-0 for the NBA, a leaderboard and one-to-one challenges. The daily games are free; a Pro subscription removes ads and opens unlimited practice and older days in the archive.
How to play Sportsdle
- Pick a sport on the home page and open its Classic daily game.
- Type an athlete's name and choose them from the list to make a guess.
- Read the clues: green means a match, and arrows point the way on height, age and number.
- Use each result to narrow the field and guess again until you find the day's athlete.
- Come back after midnight Eastern Time for the next one, or play another sport.
Tips
- Start with a mid-career player on an average team: the team, division and age clues then split the field well.
- Watch the conference and division colours before the team itself; they rule out a third of the league at a time.
- In the NBA game, hold a few guesses back for after the draft clue opens at five.
