Sporcle Daily Acrostic
Answer clues to fill in a hidden trivia fact, one letter at a time.
Every day: One new numbered acrostic a day, the same for every player: answer the clues to fill letters into a hidden phrase that turns out to be a trivia fact. New puzzle: Once a day; the site does not state the time.

Sporcle's Daily Acrostic is a crossword-like puzzle with a trivia twist. Each answer you solve drops its letters into a phrase at the top, and the finished phrase reveals a fun fact. A new numbered puzzle comes every day, with an archive of past ones.
About Sporcle Daily Acrostic
The Daily Acrostic is one of Sporcle's daily games, alongside Steps, Chess Attack and the quizzes the site is known for. Each puzzle is numbered and dated; number 355 fell on 2 October 2026.
An acrostic has two parts. Below are clues, each with a row of blanks for its answer. Above is a long phrase, its letters hidden. Every letter in an answer is tied to one square in the phrase, so as you solve clues the phrase fills in, and as the phrase takes shape you can guess its words and work backwards to the clues.
Sporcle's version ends with a trivia reveal: the completed phrase is a fact worth reading, rather than a quotation. You can type a whole word into the phrase when you think you know it, and a timer runs while you play so you can compare your score with your best.
It suits crossword solvers who like a slower, two-way puzzle, and trivia fans who enjoy the payoff of the fact at the end. It is free on the web with ads, which a Sporcle subscription removes.
How to play Sporcle Daily Acrostic
- Open the day's Acrostic on sporcle.com.
- Read a clue and type its answer; its letters appear in the matching squares of the phrase above.
- When you can see a word forming in the phrase, type it there; its letters fill back into the clue answers.
- Switch between clues and phrase until every square is filled.
- Read the trivia fact you uncovered and check your time against your best.
Tips
- Short words in the phrase, such as THE and AND, appear early; filling them gives letters to several clues at once.
- Solve the clues you are sure of first, then use the phrase to crack the hard ones.
- The archive lets you try earlier puzzles for practice.
