The PuzzleLab share card: Fresh puzzles every day, with four coloured tiles

Seven Letters is PuzzleLab's daily take on the Spelling Bee format. You get seven letters and make as many words as possible, each including the centre letter. A counter shows how many of the day's words you have found and your score out of 100.

About Seven Letters (PuzzleLab)

Seven Letters is one of the free daily puzzles on PuzzleLab, a site of small browser games that need no sign-up.

Each day you get seven letters, one of them in the centre. You type words made from those letters, and every word must include the centre letter. The game tracks how many of the day's words you have found (for example 0 of 17) and converts your finds into a score out of 100.

When you have had enough you can press I'm done to end the round, and there are stats and a help screen. A new set of letters comes every day.

It suits players who like the NYT Spelling Bee and want another free daily hive to work on.

How to play Seven Letters (PuzzleLab)

  1. Look at the day's seven letters and note the centre one.
  2. Type a word made from those letters that includes the centre letter.
  3. Submit it to add it to your found words and score.
  4. Keep going until you have found the words you can, then press I'm done.

Tips

  • Common endings such as -ed, -er and -ing can turn one find into several.
  • Letters can be reused, so try doubling them.
  • Check the found counter to see how many words are left.
