ABC's Rueda de palabras for 4 October 2026: a wheel with R, C, E, A, V and O around a blue centre I, with delete, shuffle and submit buttons

Rueda de palabras is the word wheel on ABC's puzzles page: six letters around a highlighted centre letter, from which you build as many Spanish words as you can. A new wheel comes each day, free on abc.es.

About Rueda de palabras (ABC)

Rueda de palabras sits on ABC's Pasatiempos page with the newspaper's crossword, Notigrama, sudoku, Word Guess, autodefinido and word search. Each day it shows one wheel of seven letters, six in segments around the rim and one in a blue circle at the centre, the same for every reader. On 4 October 2026 the wheel held R, C, E, A, V and O around an I.

You tap letters on the wheel to spell a word and press the green tick to submit it; a list beside the wheel collects the words you have found. Buttons let you delete a letter, shuffle the rim to see new combinations, restart, ask for a hint (Pista), change the colour theme and run a timer.

It is free to play, with advertising on the page, and it suits Spanish speakers who enjoy Spelling Bee and other letter-wheel games and want one in their own language.

How to play Rueda de palabras (ABC)

Tips

  • Shuffle the rim when you run dry: seeing the letters in a new order brings out new words.
