PlusWord is The Telegraph's cross between a mini crossword and Wordle. You solve the clues of a 5x5 grid, and the answers act as guesses for a hidden five-letter word: letters that appear in it are highlighted, and you type the PlusWord in the extra row below.
About PlusWord (Telegraph)
PlusWord is one of the daily games in Telegraph Puzzles. Each day has a small crossword, five squares by five, with clues across and down. As you fill it, the grid works like a set of Wordle guesses for a sixth word, the PlusWord: letters in the answers that also appear in the hidden word are highlighted, so solving the crossword gradually gives the PlusWord away.
When the grid is full you type the PlusWord in the row underneath. You can try it early if you spot it, which is the quickest way to a good time.
PlusWord is part of the Telegraph Puzzles subscription, in the app and on the web. It suits crossword solvers who also play Wordle, since it uses both skills in one short puzzle.
