About Ordsnille

Ordsnille ('word genius') brings the Wordle format to Swedish. The day's word is picked from a list by counting days from the game's start in January 2022, so everyone playing on the same date gets the same word. Every guess must be a valid five-letter Swedish word, and the full Swedish alphabet including Å, Ä and Ö is on the on-screen keyboard.

After each guess, letters are marked green for the right letter in the right place, orange for a letter that is in the word but in the wrong place, and grey for a letter that is not in the word at all. You have six tries, and a statistics panel keeps your record. The site is free, has no account and runs in any browser.

It suits Swedish speakers who want Wordle in their own language and learners who want a small daily vocabulary exercise.

How to play Ordsnille

1. Open Ordsnille and press 'Starta spelet och börja gissa'.
2. Type a valid five-letter Swedish word and press Enter.
3. Read the colours: green right letter and place, orange right letter wrong place, grey not in the word.
4. Find the word within six guesses.
