Odd Word Out is a quick daily word puzzle on WordUnscrambler. Each of the day's five rounds shows four words, three of which share a hidden connection, and you tap the one that does not belong. Rounds get harder through the day's set, quick answers earn bonus points, and an Endless mode runs beside the daily.
About Odd Word Out
Odd Word Out shows four words at a time, such as basket, piano, drum and guitar, and asks which one does not belong. Three share a hidden connection; the fourth does not. After your pick the connection is revealed with a short fact, and the game moves to the next round.
The Daily Puzzle is five rounds, numbered by day and the same for everyone: two easy, two medium and one hard, worth 1, 2 and 3 points. You get one chance per round, and speed counts: answering in under 3 seconds adds 3 points, under 5 adds 2 and under 10 adds 1. Getting all five right adds a 5 point bonus, for a maximum of 29. The site's tips warn about trick categories, where tomatoes are fruits, peanuts are legumes and whales are mammals.
Endless Mode deals random puzzles that get harder as you go, with three lives and two tries per puzzle. The game keeps statistics and a streak, has a share button, and needs no account. It runs on the WordUnscrambler site, which shows ads.
