Numblino
Guess the hidden number in the day's fact, in six tries.
Every day: One fact a day with its number hidden, the same for everyone: guess the number within a set percentage in six tries, with an archive of past days. New puzzle: Once a day, at a fixed time in UTC shown with a countdown.

Numblino is a daily estimation game. You get one fact with the number taken out and six tries to guess it closely enough. Each miss tells you whether you were too high or too low and whether you were within a set margin, so you can home in on the answer.
About Numblino
Numblino gives you a fact a day with a number missing, such as a height, a distance or a count, and asks you to guess that number. Everyone gets the same fact on the same day.
You have six tries, and a guess wins when it lands within a set percentage of the true figure. Every wrong guess gets an indicator: too low or too high, and whether by more or less than a wider margin, so you know both the direction and roughly how far off you are. Negative numbers and decimals are allowed, and where it makes sense you can choose the unit you guess in, such as metric or imperial.
Past facts sit in an archive, and readers can submit facts of their own through the site.
It suits players who enjoy trivia but prefer estimating to remembering, and who like to learn one surprising number a day.
How to play Numblino
- Read the day's fact with its number hidden.
- Choose a unit if the game offers one.
- Type your guess and submit it.
- Read the indicator: too high or too low, and whether you are within the wider margin.
- Adjust and land within the target percentage in six tries.
Tips
- Use your first guess to set a range; a deliberately round number makes the feedback easy to read.
- Halve the gap between a too-high and a too-low guess.
- Switch to the unit you think in; it makes estimating easier.
