Jumble (Greatest Games)
Swap scrambled tiles until three words across and three down read right.
Every day: One scrambled word grid a day, the same for everyone: swap tiles until three words across and three down all read correctly, in fifteen swaps or fewer. New puzzle: Midnight US Eastern Time.

Jumble on Greatest Games is a daily letter-swapping grid. The letters of six words, three across and three down, are scrambled, and you swap pairs of tiles to put them back, with fifteen swaps to do it. Tiles turn green when right, yellow when they belong in the word elsewhere, and white when not needed there.
About Jumble (Greatest Games)
This Jumble is a grid puzzle rather than the newspaper's single scrambled words. The board holds three across words and three down words with their letters mixed up. You tap one tile and then another to swap them, aiming to make all six words read correctly at once.
Colours guide you after every swap. Green means a letter is in its right place, yellow means it belongs in that word but somewhere else, and white means it is not needed in that word. A yellow corner tile is a special case: corners sit in both an across and a down word, and yellow means either of them uses that letter. You have fifteen swaps, and the fewer you use, the better.
Jumble is one of the daily games on Greatest Games, a site of word and logic puzzles. A new puzzle goes up every day at midnight US Eastern, the same for everyone, and it plays free in the browser with no account or download. A free account opens the Jumble archive of every past puzzle by date.
