Guess The Country is one of the daily games on Bored Panda, the viral content site. You name countries, and each guess tells you how far away and in which direction the answer lies, how its population and area compare and which flag colours match, until you find the day's country.

About Guess The Country (Bored Panda)

Guess The Country is part of Bored Panda's Daily Games, a set of free puzzles the site publishes every day alongside Guess The Famous Person, Guess The Timeline, Guess The Phrase and a Daily Word Search. Each puzzle has its own dated page with a number, and Guess The Country passed No. 139 in early October 2026.

The game hides one country. You type a guess, and the feedback works on several fronts at once: the distance from your guess to the answer and an arrow pointing toward it, whether the answer has more or fewer people and a larger or smaller area, and which colours its flag shares with yours. With a limited number of tries (several puzzles have offered eight), the skill is in picking guesses that split the map and the numbers well.

Each page also carries an optional written hint that describes the country indirectly, and a link to the previous day's puzzle, so it is easy to catch up. Readers compare how many guesses and how much time they needed in the comments.

It suits geography fans who like Worldle-style distance and direction clues but want a few more kinds of feedback, and anyone already reading Bored Panda who wants a quick puzzle.

How to play Guess The Country (Bored Panda)

  1. Open the day's Guess The Country page from Bored Panda's Daily Games.
  2. Type the name of any country as a first guess.
  3. Read the feedback: distance and direction, population and area compared, and matching flag colours.
  4. Use those clues to choose a better next guess.
  5. Find the country before your guesses run out, or open the hint if you are stuck.

Tips

  • Open with a large, central country so the distance and direction narrow things quickly.
  • Use population and area together to rule out whole regions.
  • Flag colours help most at the end, when a few neighbours are left.
