About Football Bingo (Futbolle)

Football Bingo is one of the daily games on Futbolle, a football site with several dailies. Each puzzle is numbered and dated, and a new board and player order arrive at midnight in your own time zone, so everyone on the same date plays the same board.

The board holds twelve categories such as Chelsea, Japan, Bundesliga, Club Captain or Euro winner. A footballer appears at the top with his photo, and you tap the category he fits. A right tap locks the cell with his picture. A wrong tap only shakes the box: you lose time, not a life, and can try another. If he fits nothing still open, press Skip.

Before you start you pick 90 seconds, 60 seconds or no timer, and you can end an untimed game with Finish. Either way there is one attempt per day, and your score is how many of the twelve boxes you filled; a full board is a win. Players are drawn from Wikipedia squad data with photos from TheSportsDB, and honour categories use the full winning squads. The share button copies a spoiler-free grid.

It suits football fans who know careers and trophy lists well, and the timed modes reward quick thinking as much as knowledge. The game can also be played in Turkish.

How to play Football Bingo (Futbolle)

1. Open Football Bingo and choose 90 seconds, 60 seconds or no timer.
2. Look at the footballer shown at the top of the board.
3. Tap the club, nation, league or honour box he belongs to; a right answer locks the box with his photo.
4. If a wrong tap shakes the box, try another one, or press Skip when he fits nothing still open.
5. Fill all twelve boxes to win, then share your spoiler-free grid.

• Find the two hardest categories before you start and keep them for players who fit them.
• When a player fits several boxes, use him on the rarest one; clubs come round often.
• Skip costs a second, filling a rare box with the wrong player can cost the board.
