FaceGrid
Reveal the tiles one by one and name the famous face.
Every day: One famous face a day, the same for everyone, hidden under a grid of tiles: reveal tiles one at a time and name the person in six attempts, using as few tiles as you can. New puzzle: Midnight in your local time zone, from the countdown in the game's code.

FaceGrid is a daily celebrity guessing game. A famous person's photo is hidden under tiles; you uncover one tile, make a guess, and repeat, with six attempts in all. The fewer tiles you need, the better your score.
About FaceGrid
FaceGrid hides a photograph of a well-known person under a grid of tiles, one person a day and the same for everyone. The first puzzle was on 6 February 2026, an Ava Gardner photo, and the game has run daily since.
The rule that shapes the game is that you cannot reveal two tiles in a row: you tap a tile to uncover part of the picture, then you must guess before you can reveal another. You have six attempts in all, and your score is the number of tiles you needed, so choosing which part of the face to uncover first matters as much as recognising it.
When you finish, the game names the person with a short description and credits the image, which comes from public domain or freely reusable sources. You can share your grid, and an archive and statistics page keep track of earlier days and your streak.
It suits players who like Framed-style reveal games and know their film stars, musicians and public figures.
How to play FaceGrid
- Open FaceGrid and tap one tile to uncover part of the photo.
- Type a guess for who it is, or skip.
- Reveal another tile and guess again; you have six attempts.
- Name the person with as few tiles as you can, then share your grid.
Tips
- Uncover the eyes or the hairline first; they say most about a face.
- Use a skip only when the tile showed nothing useful.
- Try the full name, but common spellings and surnames are accepted too.
