Daily Halo after one guess: 9 attempts left, and Arona's Hints showing the halo pattern with the weapon and gear hints still locked

Daily Halo is a guessing game for Blue Archive players. Each day there is one hidden student, and you have 10 tries to name her: every guess shows which of her traits match, and misses unlock pictures of her halo, weapon and unique gear.

About Daily Halo

Daily Halo is a free browser game built around the cast of Blue Archive, the school-themed gacha game. Its page calls itself the Schale Database, after the office the player runs in the game, and greets you as Sensei. The site names Nova Drake as its author.

Each day one student is picked for everyone. You type a name into the search box, choose her from a list of portraits, and the game lays out how she compares to the answer: academy, role, class, attack type, defense type, height, age, rarity and school year. Matches and misses tell you which way to go next.

Wrong guesses unlock Arona's Hints, three pictures that narrow things down: first the student's halo pattern, then her weapon, then her unique gear. You have 10 attempts in all, and a counter at the top shows how many players have already found today's student.

When the day's puzzle is done you can switch to an unlimited mode, labelled Archive, which deals out random students as many times as you like. It suits Blue Archive players who know the students by their schools and halos; someone new to the game will find the list of names long.

How to play Daily Halo

  1. Open daily-halo.com; the day's student is already set.
  2. Type a student's name into the search box and pick her from the list of portraits.
  3. Read the comparison row: academy, role, class, attack and defense type, height, age, rarity and year each show whether they match today's student.
  4. After a miss, look at Arona's Hints: the halo pattern unlocks first, then the weapon and the unique gear.
  5. Keep guessing until you name the student or use up all 10 attempts, then come back the next day or try the unlimited mode.

Tips

  • Start with a student from a large academy, so the academy clue cuts the list down fast.
  • The halo pattern is often enough on its own for players who know the cast: study its shape and colour before guessing again.
  • Use height and age to choose between students from the same school and role.

Questions

How many guesses do I get in Daily Halo?

Ten. Each wrong guess still shows how the student you named compares to the answer.

Can I play more than one Daily Halo puzzle a day?

Yes. After the daily student, the unlimited mode (labelled Archive) gives you random students to guess as often as you like. Only the daily one is the same for everyone.

Do I need an account?

No. The game plays in the browser with no sign-up.
