Every day: One real Formula 1 team radio transcript a day, with driver and team names blacked out, the same for every player: name the driver in four guesses. New puzzle: Not stated; a new clip is revealed each day..

Copy That is a free daily Formula 1 game from Pole to Paddock. Each day it shows the transcript of a real team radio message with the driver and team names blacked out, and you have four guesses to name the driver. Each miss reveals the year, then the team, then the race, and lets you hear a little more of the original audio.
About Copy That (Pole to Paddock)
Copy That is one of the free daily games on Pole to Paddock, a Formula 1 site that also carries stats, fantasy tools and several other F1 puzzles. The game takes its material from real team radio, the messages drivers and race engineers trade during a session, and turns one of them into a guessing puzzle each day.
The day's clip appears as a written transcript under a Radio Transmission header. Any driver or team name in it is blacked out, so the words themselves are the first clue: a complaint about tyres, a thank-you to the crew at the end of a season, a remark about traffic or strategy. You type a driver's name into the box below and pick from the suggestions. You have four guesses.
A wrong guess is not wasted. The first one fills in the year of the message, the second the team and the third the race, and each one also unlocks an audio preview that grows a few seconds longer with every miss, so the driver's own voice becomes a clue. When the puzzle is over, right or wrong, you can play the whole recording.
Where most daily F1 games ask you to find a driver from a table of stats, Copy That is about what drivers say on the radio, so it suits fans who follow onboard footage and race broadcasts closely. If you miss a day, you can catch up on the previous day's clip after finishing today's. It plays in the browser with no sign-up.
How to play Copy That (Pole to Paddock)
- Open Copy That on Pole to Paddock and read the day's radio transcript, where driver and team names are blacked out.
- Type the name of the driver you think said it and choose them from the list.
- If you are wrong, use the hint it reveals: the year after the first miss, the team after the second and the race after the third.
- Listen to the audio preview that unlocks with each miss; it gets a few seconds longer every time.
- Name the driver within four guesses, then play the full recording.
- Once today's clip is done, go back and play yesterday's if you missed it.

Tips
- Look at the wording before you guess: a driver's habits on the radio, such as how they speak to their engineer, often give them away.
- Mentions of tyres, traffic, safety cars or end-of-season thanks narrow down the kind of race and the year.
- If you are unsure, a first guess that fits the likely era still earns you the year hint without much loss.
