Stewardle
Find the Formula 1 Driver of the Day in six guesses.
Every day: One Formula 1 Driver of the Day, the same for everyone, to find in six guesses from clues on nationality, team, car number, age, first season and race wins. New puzzle: Midnight UTC.

Stewardle is a daily Formula 1 guessing game. You name any driver who has raced since 2014, and each guess shows whether their nationality and team match the day's driver and whether the answer's car number, age, first year and win count are higher or lower.
About Stewardle
Stewardle takes the Wordle idea of feedback after every guess and applies it to Formula 1 drivers. The pool is every driver who has raced in the 2014 season or later, the era of permanent car numbers. You type a name, pick it from the list, and a row of clue tiles shows how your guess compares with the Driver of the Day.
The flag tile turns green when the nationality matches. The team tile is green for the same current team and orange when the answer used to drive for your guess's team. The tiles for car number, age, first year in F1 and race wins are green on an exact match and otherwise point up or down towards the answer. With six guesses, the usual route is to fix the team and the era first, then use the numbers to split the drivers left.
The game was made by syhr and its source code is public on GitHub. It counts games played, wins, losses and your streak, shows how many guesses each win took, and has a high contrast mode. A new driver arrives at midnight UTC. It suits F1 fans who know the grid of the last decade, including the drivers who only had a season or two.
How to play Stewardle
- Type the name of any F1 driver who has raced since 2014 and choose it from the list.
- Read the tiles: green for a matching nationality or team, orange if the answer once drove for your guess's team.
- Follow the arrows on car number, age, first year and race wins towards the answer.
- Find the driver within six guesses to keep your streak.
- Come back after midnight UTC for the next driver.
Tips
- Open with a mid-grid driver whose numbers sit in the middle of the field, so the arrows cut the list in half.
- The orange team tile means a past team in common; check which drivers moved between those teams.
- Race wins split the field fast: most drivers in the pool have none.
- First year narrows the era, which matters a lot for drivers who raced only briefly.
