FreePuzzles.net Daily Connections for Saturday, October 3, 2026: a four by four grid of words including Hose, Pipe, Bullhorn, Mushroom and White, with four mistakes remaining

Daily Connections on FreePuzzles.net is a free grouping puzzle in the Connections format. Each day every player gets the same dated grid of 16 words and has to find the four hidden groups of four, with four mistakes allowed. A new grid comes at midnight UTC.

About Daily Connections (FreePuzzles)

Daily Connections is one of the daily games on FreePuzzles.net, a free puzzle site from FlameAI Studio. It follows the grouping format that Connections made popular: 16 words are laid out in a four by four grid, and they split into four groups of four that share something, such as things that are white or words that go before a household object.

You select four words and submit them. A correct group is set aside, and a wrong one costs one of four mistakes, shown as dots above the grid. Shuffle rearranges the remaining words when you need a fresh look, and Deselect All clears your picks. The grid is headed with its date, and the site says it draws on a library of more than sixty puzzles.

Everyone plays the same grid on the same day, and a new one is released at midnight UTC. The game needs no account and plays in any browser, beside the site's daily sudoku, word search, 2048 and sliding number puzzle.

How to play Daily Connections (FreePuzzles)

  1. Open Daily Connections and read the 16 words.
  2. Select four words you think share a link.
  3. Press Submit; a correct group is revealed and set aside.
  4. Use Shuffle to rearrange the grid when you are stuck.
  5. Find all four groups before you make four mistakes.

Tips

  • Watch for words that fit two groups; the grid usually holds a few decoys.
  • Name the link to yourself before submitting, so you can check all four words against it.
  • Leave the group that seems loosest for last, when fewer words are left to choose from.
