Categordle
Rate itAnswer six trivia clues, then name the secret category that ties them together.
Every day: One numbered puzzle a day: six trivia clues on hexagons and a secret category that connects their answers. New puzzle: Once a day; the game does not say at what hour.

Categordle is a small daily trivia game with a twist. Each numbered puzzle gives you six clues on hexagons, from science and geography to pop culture, and a hidden category that connects all their answers. Find the category with as few give-ups as you can, then keep answering for a higher score.
About Categordle
Categordle was created by Tiffany Chong, with Sophia Nguyen and Ng Yi Pin as editors, and calls itself a cozy little trivia game. Its cat theme runs through it: finding the hidden category is finding the cat, and the score is a Purrfection score.
Each puzzle has six clues set out on hexagons around the hidden category. Clues can be anything from a nickname for part of the body to a character in a Pixar film or a Pokemon. You choose a hexagon, type your answer and submit. As answers fall into place the link between them becomes clearer, and you can guess the category at any point.
Points come from each clue you solve, from finding the cat, and from finding it before you have solved every clue. Giving up on a clue reveals it, but costs you credit. Each puzzle has its own statistics and a share snippet, and past puzzles stay free to play.
It suits players who like general knowledge quizzes but enjoy a puzzle on top, where the six answers together point to one more answer.
How to play Categordle
- Open Categordle to see the day's numbered puzzle.
- Click a hexagon to choose a clue.
- Type your answer in the field and press Submit.
- When you see what the answers share, type it as the category guess.
- After finding the category, keep answering clues for more points, then share your result.
Tips
- Start with the clues you know for sure: two or three answers often reveal the category.
- Guess the category early if you see it: finding it before all clues are solved earns a bonus.
- Avoid giving up on clues, since each reveal costs you credit.
- Past puzzles are a good way to learn the kind of links the editors like.
