Weakdoku's grid for 22 October 2026 with Water, Ice and dual-type columns, Fire, Poison and Psychic rows, Excadrill placed in the first square and 8/9 PP left

Weakdoku by Den Totino mixes Weakdle's type matchups with the PokeDoku grid. Each of the nine squares needs a Pokémon whose typing fits both its row and its column clue, no type may repeat across the grid, and nine PP cover nine picks. A hard mode hides types while you search, and past grids sit in an archive.

About Weakdoku

Weakdoku is a Pokémon grid puzzle by Den Totino, the maker of Weakdle, who soft-launched it on Bluesky in June 2024. The site describes it as Weakdle plus PokéDoku: it borrows PokéDoku's 3x3 grid, but instead of regions or evolutions, every row and column is a type matchup, such as taking double damage from Water attacks or half damage from Poison, and some clues simply ask for a dual-type Pokémon.

Each day brings one grid, the same for everyone. To fill a square you search for a Pokémon and pick it; it counts if its typing fits both the row and the column clues. No type can be used twice across the grid, so an early choice can block a later square. You have nine PP, and every pick spends one, right or wrong, so there is no room for a miss if you want all nine squares. When you finish, the game can show you possible answers, and a new grid arrives at midnight on your own clock.

You are always choosing Pokémon, not types, which the FAQ says is on purpose: it is more fun and helps you remember which Pokémon carry which typing. A hard mode hides each Pokémon's type in the search list, and an archive holds earlier grids. It suits players who know the damage chart by heart and enjoyed Weakdle or PokéDoku.

The grid for each date is worked out in the page from the date itself, so everyone on the same day sees the same clues, and the archive calendar opens any earlier day back to 30 May 2024. A results panel keeps your streak and lets you copy your grid to share. The site carries ads around the board.

How to play Weakdoku

  1. Read the clues on the three columns and three rows: each is a damage multiplier from an attacking type, or a call for a dual-type Pokémon.
  2. Click a square and type a Pokémon's name in the search box; the box shows the two clues it must meet.
  3. Pick the Pokémon from the list. Every pick spends one of your nine PP, whether it fits or not.
  4. Do not use the same type twice anywhere in the grid, since a dual type uses up both.
  5. Fill all nine squares to win, then open Result for your stats and a copy of the grid to share.

Tips

  • Solve the tightest squares first, such as those needing an immunity, before the open ones use up the types you need.
  • Think in types first, then find any Pokémon with that typing.
  • Dual-type Pokémon use up both their types, so save single types for squares that only need one.
  • Work out the multiplier before you search: a 2x from Water means Fire, Ground or Rock in the typing with nothing that resists Water.
  • Try hard mode once the type chart feels easy; it hides types while you search.

Questions

Why do I pick Pokémon instead of types?

The maker says it is more fun that way and helps you remember which Pokémon have which types.

What does hard mode do?

It hides each Pokémon's type in the search results.

When does a new grid come out?

Every midnight in your own local time.

Can I play past grids?

Yes, there is an archive of earlier puzzles.

How many guesses do I get?

Nine PP, one for each pick, so a wrong pick leaves a square you cannot fill.
