APEXDLE Legend mode after three guesses (Wraith, Bangalore, Horizon): rows of class, gender, homeworld, age, type and year cells in green and red, with up and down arrows

APEXDLE is a free daily guessing game for Apex Legends players. Each day you find a Legend from six attribute clues, another from a blurred silhouette, one from an ability icon hidden behind tiles, and a weapon from its HUD icon, with unlimited guesses and a score counted in tries. A harder Legend Challenge adds a fifth puzzle.

About APEXDLE

APEXDLE is a fan-made daily game built on the Apex Legends roster, in the style of Wordle and LoLdle. It is published by Taxon Games, the small French studio of Tristan Lainé, which runs the same kind of daily game for Valorant, Overwatch, Marvel Rivals, Deadlock, Rainbow Six Siege, Dead by Daylight, Street Fighter 6, Tekken and For Honor. It is not affiliated with Electronic Arts or Respawn.

The day has four puzzles. In Legend mode you type any Legend's name and get a row of six cells: class, gender, homeworld, age, type and release year. Green is a match, orange means the homeworld is in the same star system, and arrows show whether the answer is older or was released later. Silhouette starts on a dark, blurred render that clears a little with every miss. Ability hides a Legend's signature ability icon behind a grid of tiles, and Weapon does the same with the icon of one of the game's guns.

There is no guess limit and no game over: your score is the number of tries, and the share button copies a spoiler-free emoji grid. A bonus Legend Challenge uses a different Legend and reveals only one cell of each row per guess, so you work from partial clues. Winning any mode grows a streak that climbs tiers from Bronze to Apex Predator, with a freeze earned every seven days. An archive replays past days, groups let friends compare results under a shared code, and private matches race up to eight players through the same puzzles.

It suits Apex players who know the Legends' lore as well as their kits, and want a short check-in each day. Progress is kept in the browser, with no account, and a first-letter hint is there on request after enough misses.

How to play APEXDLE

  1. Open apexdle.day and choose Legend mode.
  2. Type a Legend's name in the search bar and press Guess.
  3. Read the six cells: green is a match, orange a homeworld in the same star system, red a miss, and arrows point to an older or younger age and a later or earlier release year.
  4. Keep guessing until every cell is green; your score is the number of tries.
  5. Play Silhouette, Ability and Weapon, where each wrong guess clears more of the blurred render or drops more tiles from the icon.
  6. Share your result and come back after local midnight for the next set.

Tips

  • Open with a Legend from the middle of the release order, so the year arrow cuts the field in half.
  • Class and homeworld together often leave only two or three Legends.
  • In Weapon mode, the first uncovered tiles usually show the barrel or magazine shape: think about the weapon class before naming one.
  • If you missed yesterday, play it from the archive to save your streak.

Questions

Is APEXDLE free?

Yes. It is free, needs no account and nothing to install; the site is paid for by ads.

When does APEXDLE reset?

Each mode gets a new answer at midnight in your device's local time, and the answer is the same for everyone that day.

How many guesses do I get?

As many as you need. There is no game over; the score is how many tries it took.

Can I play past days?

Yes. The archive replays earlier puzzles in every mode; they do not count toward your daily stats, though playing yesterday's can rescue a streak.

Is APEXDLE official?

No. It is a fan project by Taxon Games, not affiliated with or endorsed by Electronic Arts or Respawn Entertainment.
