Mini·5 (Cruzada·5 in Spanish) is the daily mini crossword from doce.games: a 5 by 5 grid, the same for everyone, solved against the clock. The game ends when the grid is full and right, and a hint uncovers one letter for a 30-second penalty.

About Mini·5 (doce.games)

Mini·5 is a small daily crossword. Each day there is one 5 by 5 grid with across and down clues, the same for every player. You step through the clues with the arrows and type the answers.

Your score is the clock, which starts when you tap start and never stops, even if you leave the page. The game ends when the grid is full and correct. If you are stuck, a hint uncovers one letter and adds 30 seconds. When you finish you can see the solved grid, share your time or challenge someone.

It is one of the daily games on doce.games, a small site with no accounts, no ads and nothing to install, playable in Spanish, English, German, Portuguese, Italian and French. The daily games there share the same rules of the house: one try a day, the same puzzle for everyone, and a link to challenge a friend with your result.

It suits players of the NYT Mini who want a timed, ad-free daily mini, in English or Spanish.

How to play Mini·5 (doce.games)

  1. Open doce.games/en/cruzada5 and press Start.
  2. Read the first clue and type the answer.
  3. Move between clues with the arrows, across and down.
  4. Take a hint for one letter if stuck; it costs 30 seconds.
  5. Fill the grid correctly to stop the clock.

Tips

  • In a 5 by 5 every square is in two words, so check each answer against its crossings.
  • Only take a hint once you are truly stuck: 30 seconds is often longer than the whole solve.
  • The clock does not stop if you leave, so start when you have a few minutes.
